City of Hoboken, New Jersey Proposed Stormwater Management Plan Health Impact Assessment (HIA)

July 18, 2016

The Hoboken Proposed Stormwater Management Plan HIA was intended to inform the City’s stormwater management planning process as well as the decision-making of the Hoboken City Council as it considers a comprehensive stormwater management ordinance. The HIA considers the possible health effects of flooding and potential exposure to polluted stormwater from combined sewer system back-ups and overflows; disruptions in local, emergency, and business services due to flooding; and changes in water and air quality, as well as effects on ground permeability and heating related to green infrastructure solutions.
