Read the executive summary of A Workplace Divided in 2023, a research study conducted by the Heldrich Center for Workforce Development with support from WorkRise at the Urban Institute. The study captures the perceptions and experiences of racial and ethnic discrimination at work with a nationally representative survey sample of 3,277 full- and part-time U.S. workers. A Workplace Divided builds on the Heldrich Center’s long history of systematic survey research on workforce policies and practices.
