Rutgers Future Healthcare Administrators (FHA) is a professional student organization dedicated to networking events, professional development opportunities, and social gatherings for students interested in healthcare administration

Signature Events
Case Competition
Founded in 2018, the FHA Annual Spring Case Competition challenges undergraduate students to tackle real-world healthcare administration issues through critical thinking, teamwork, and strategic problem-solving. Participants collaborate in teams within a set timeframe to develop innovative solutions and present their recommendations to a panel of judges made up of industry professionals and faculty. In addition to the hands-on learning experience, the students receive professional feedback, and the winning teams receive modest cash prizes
Embedded in the program is a valuable networking opportunity when students and healthcare professionals explore the key competencies required of early careerists and learn about how academic work, internships, and field experiences prepare students for careers in healthcare management.
Recruiter Panel
The Rutgers Future Healthcare Administrators’ Fall Recruiter Panel connects undergraduate students with professionals from the healthcare industry to explore career opportunities in healthcare administration. This event features recruiters and industry experts who share insights on hiring trends, internship and job opportunities, and essential skills for success in the field. Students can engage in meaningful discussions, ask questions, and build valuable connections to support their career development.
Collaboration
The FHA participates in career fairs and professional development programs in collaboration with the Graduate Society of Healthcare Leaders (GSHL) – the student organization of the Master of Health Administration Program – and the Rutgers MHA Alumni Association.
E-Board
The Board holds elections every May with board members serving for one-year terms: President, Vice-Presidents (2), Treasurer, and Secretary; chairs, Academic Development, Community, and Marketing.
