Walking the Line: New Jersey Ballots, Candidates and Voters

Join the Eagleton Institute of Politics and the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy on Thursday, June 24th at 10:00am EST for a discussion on ballot design, candidate representation, and encouraging voter participation in New Jersey elections.

The program will begin with a presentation by Professor Julia Sass Rubin from the Bloustein School on her analysis of the impact of the county-based “line” in NJ primaries, with specific analysis of the 2020 elections and the recent 2021 NJ Primary Election. Following Professor Rubin’s comments, we will hear from four panelists, each of whom has expertise on election conduct and possibilities for reform.
