NJ Safe Routes to School Crossing Guard training video helps keep our children and communities safe

September 3, 2015

It’s back to school time which means crossing guards are also out in force. Crossing Guards are our crosswalk heroes.

The Alan M Voorhees Transportation Center and Civic Eye Collaborative created a training video to show best practices and techniques for crossing children safely on their way to and from school. The project has been supported by the New Jersey Department of Transportation and the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety with funding from the Federal Highway Administration. Additional funding was made available by the New Jersey Municipal Excess Joint Insurance Fund.

The New Jersey Safe Routes to School Resource Center crossing guard training video is a reminder of how important crossing guards are to our communities. Share it today!
