In response to an invitation from the Douglass Residential College and the Institute for Women’s Leadership to host programs focused on women’s issues at Rutgers University in honor of Women’s History Month, the New Jersey State Policy Lab convened a panel of recent graduates who served as Policy Lab interns, teaching assistants, and/or research assistants on Wednesday, March 11th.

These alumnae, which included Bernice AmankwahMolly Basdeo MountjoyTaylor HughesJosephine Michener, and Gretel Rodriguez Ramos, were led in a panel discussion moderated by Executive Director Elizabeth Cooner to discuss challenges they have confronted in their professional journey, how their work impacts public policy, and advice for current students.

The New Jersey State Policy Lab seeks to amplify diverse perspectives and voices in order to improve outcomes for everyone who lives in the Garden State. We thank the panel of women who engaged with students at Rutgers and offered their valuable insights into their respective professional journeys.
