July 28, 2022

The Bloustein School is pleased to announce the recent promotion of several school faculty by the Rutgers University Board of Governors as of July 1, 2022.

“These promotions are well deserved and reflect the high standards of teaching and research for which the Bloustein School is known,” said Interim Dean Stuart Shapiro. “The expertise of our teaching professors, and their dedication to their students, makes the Bloustein School an outstanding community in which to learn and conduct research. Congratulations to our colleagues!”

Fereydoun Nikpour

Fereydoun Nikpour has been promoted to Professor of Teaching. He earned his MCRP and Ph.D. in Planning and Public Policy from the Bloustein School and has long been a staple of teaching the school’s undergraduate statistics classes.  In 2021, he also began teaching stats in the school’s graduate programs.  Throughout his time at the school, he has been beloved despite teaching a subject dreaded by students.

Susan Krum has been promoted to Associate Professor of Teaching.  Dr. Krum has become a vital part of the health administration program in her three years at the Bloustein School, providing outstanding teaching and mentoring and helping to manage the growth of the program in addition to being an experienced health care leader with extensive knowledge in delivering strategic and operational change.  She was a pivotal figure in ensuring that the MHA accreditation process moved quickly and effortlessly.
