On May 7, a team of Bloustein M.P.P. students traveled down Washington, DC to present their practicum report to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).  The practicum is the capstone project for the M.P.P program and the students researched the state of oil and gas regulation in the United States.  The students came up with ten recommendations for streamlining regulations and improving safety and health for workers in the oil and gas industry.  Among those attending the presentation were representatives of the Environmental Protection Agency, the Department of the Interior, the U.S. Coast Guard, and OSHA.  OSHA’s Administrator, Assistant Secretary of Labor, David Michaels, was in attendance and praised the work of the Bloustein students.
